Today is our first class after coming back from the Hari Raya break. In today's class, we had a session with Mr. Vahid. He gave a speech on how to write a Persuasive Paper. He also introduced new terms such as claim, data, warrant, backing, rebuttal, and qualifier. We were also given an argumentative writing checklist so that we can evaluate our own position paper. The checklist contains four scales which are based on the Analytic and Hollistic Scales of Argumentative Writing designed by Dr. Jaya and Mr. Vahid. Before the class ended, we had a feast of KFC and soft drinks sponsored by Dr. Jaya as a Hari Raya treat. Thank a lot Dr!!!! :)
